Iowa State University (ISU), well-known for its advances in agriculture, strives to cooperate with the best institutions in the world. A long time ago it recognized Ukraine as a potential powerhouse of developments in agriculture of the Central Europe. In 1980-ies ISU started to cooperate with leading agricultural institutions in the country. Rationale was simple: both states are in the centers the USA and Europe respectively, both have high-productive soils, well-educated and hardworking people; by cooperating, building on similarities and celebrating differences it is possible to achieve much more together than apart.
